Movado Women's Amorosa Watch Review

Movado's signature Museum dial stands out beautifully against a background of polished stainless steel in this elegant women's watch from Movado's Amorosa collection. This watch features a round black dial with silver tone Dauphine hands and a concave dot marker at the twelve o'clock position. This is the minimalist look made famous for Movado by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. Horwitt intended his design to be evocative of a sun dial, with the dot representing the sun at high noon. The dial on this watch is framed by a perfectly round polished stainless steel bezel. It presents on a beautiful polished steel bangle bracelet that fastens with a jewelry clasp. This watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant to 100 feet, it can be worn while swimming or poolside diving, but it should not be worn while scuba diving.

About Movado
Movado, one of the most celebrated watch brands in the world, traces its origins to the small village of La Chaux-de-faunds, Switzerland where, in 1881, a young watchmaker named Achille Ditesheim hired six assistants and opened a small workshop. He called his company Movado, a word which means, roughly, "always in motion." The company grew and prospered, evolving from a small pocketwatch manufacturer into a leading innovator and designer of precision wristwatches. Throughout its history, Movado has maintained its place at the pinnacle of innovation and excellence in design, craftsmanship and technology. Movado watches are crafted by highly-skilled watchmakers to meet the exacting standards of Swiss time technology. They are accurate to within seconds a year. All Movado watches are sealed and protected against water, moisture and dust, and individually tested to meet strict international standards of quality. A long-time dedicated supporter of the arts, Movado has, itself, been the recipient of over 200 international awards. Movado watches can now be found in the permanent collections of over 20 museums worldwide.

TAG Heuer Men's Aquaracer Watch Review

Designed to meet the demanding criteria of professional divers, the durable and sporty Aquaracer combines precise timekeeping technology with TAG Heuer's signature prestige styling. The 41 mm brushed steel case showcases a black dial with a full-color TAG Heuer logo and an automatic date calendar at the 4:30 position. Chronograph subdials at 2 and 10 o'clock display the 1/10 second counter and 12-hour counter respectively, and an additional subdial at 6 o'clock registers the seconds. Luminous hands and hour markers, a chronograph seconds hand, and a red chronograph minute hand with an arrow tip are all designed for optimal radiance and readability. The dial is framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel with an Arabic numeral scale for timing dives and other limited events. The watch presents on a handsome and durable brushed steel link bracelet that features an extension system for divers and fastens with a double safety clasp. Other notable features of this watch include precise Swiss quartz movement, a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown and caseback for water resistance to 300 meters. One of TAG Heuer's bestselling designs, the Aquaracer is the perfect timepiece for all of your water sport adventures.

About TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer traces its roots to the Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, watchmaker Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company's reputation grew and Heuer's first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few. Heuer's reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. In 1985, Heuer joined the TAG (Techniques D'Avant-Garde) group, and the TAG Heuer name and logo were created. Now one of the most recognized and sought-after watch brands in the world, TAG Heuer continues its reputation of innovative design and technological excellence.

Seiko Men's Automatic Dive Watch Review

My favorite watch ...5
Superb. This is my first watch with a rubber strap and I find it very comfortable. If I had to give up all of my watches except one, this is the one I would keep :) Gains about 2 minutes a week, but I don't mind setting the time occasionally.

Good overall4
The good:

The watch is good looking and keeps time well. Amazon also has the best price in town ($150 less than local department stores). The watch has seen about 10 hours of bottom time since purchased and is still running great. The hands are bright enough at night to see but not so bright that you light up the whole room (I like it dark when sleeping). The bezel has nice positive clicks with 30 second metering (not to tight or too loose).

The not so good:

The watch tends to work (rotate) itself around my wrist in the direction of my pinkie finger. This makes it difficult to tell time without grabbing the watch and rotating it back to a position centered on the top of my wrist. I believe this may be "personal issue" for me since my wrist diameter is larger than most (most watches with steel bands fit right out of the box for me with no links removed). What seems to happen is the hasp on the band tends to center itself on the bottom of my wrist leaving the watch off center on the top. It's thick with a thick band. The wife complains that the band pinches her if she rolls on to my arm in bed.

Overall

This is a good rugged mechanical watch. It has taken some hits on land and underwater and still looks new out of the box. I have been wearing it everyday (and night) and it appears to have gained about 1 minute in one month. All in all a great watch at any price, the band could use some tweaking.

Seiko Men's Automatic Dive Watch #SKX1735
I love this watch. The glow in the dark indicators stay luminated all throught the night and it keeps very accurate time. The rotating bezel is smooth and easy to opperate. It's very comfortable to wear,a great watch. Very Attractive.
